Getting started
How do I get started?
Get skokk on your phone, and sign in with Vipps, or with Apple on iPhone and iPad, and with Google on Android. The first time you sign in with Apple or Google, you confirm your phone number with a code by text message. Then make a group for the family.
How do I invite the family?
Share the invite link from the group by text or in the family chat, and anyone with the link can join. If you choose a contact, only the person with that phone number can join. Each invite also has a code of 6 characters that can be entered in the app.
Who can see the photos?
Only the people in the group, and no one gets in without an invite from the family.
Simple mode
What is simple mode?
On iPad, skokk shows one photo at a time, with big buttons with text. It suits anyone in the family who wants it simple, like great-grandma.
How do I turn on simple mode?
Open Profile on the iPad, and turn on Simple mode under Settings. It’s a good idea for someone in the family to do it the first time.
How do I leave simple mode?
Tap Settings in simple mode. That takes you to Profile, where you can turn it off.
Does simple mode work on a phone?
Yes, on a phone simple mode gives big buttons on the camera.
Photos
How long does a photo stay?
You choose when you share: 2 days, 5 days or forever. After 2 or 5 days, we delete the photo for good.
Can I delete a photo?
Yes, you can delete what you shared yourself, any time.
Can I share video?
Yes, in a group that is unlocked. A video can be up to 30 seconds.
Payment
What does skokk cost?
NOK 200 a month per group. Only the person who unlocks the group pays, and everyone else uses skokk for free.
Who can unlock the group?
Anyone in the group, including people who don’t own it. The person who unlocks the group pays.
What happens if the person who pays leaves the group?
Then the group locks, and the person who paid can use the rest of the period on another group. Someone else in the group can unlock it again.
How do I cancel?
You cancel under Subscriptions in the App Store or Google Play. The group keeps everything until the end of the month you paid for.
Account
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile in the app, and tap Delete account under Account.
What gets deleted?
We delete your photos, videos and comments, and you leave all your groups. If you own a group, it passes to the member who has been in it the longest. If you are alone in the group, we delete it. You can’t undo this.
Do I still pay after I delete my account?
Yes, until you cancel the subscription in the App Store or Google Play, because the store takes the payment. Cancel it before you delete your account.
