# What does the error message in skokk mean?

Find the message you got to see what it means and what you can do. Almost all error messages from the server are in Norwegian, also when the app is in English, so we show them in Norwegian with the meaning in English.

## Sign-in and phone number

| “Du må logge inn” | You must sign in. Sign in with Vipps, Apple or Google. |
| “Du må logge inn på nytt” | You must sign in again. The sign-in expired or was stopped, for example after 180 days without use. |
| “Innloggingen feilet. Prøv igjen.” | We could not approve the sign-in from Apple or Google. Try again. |
| “Innloggingen er ikke tilgjengelig akkurat nå. Prøv igjen senere.” | We cannot reach Apple or Google. Try again later. |
| “Vipps-innloggingen feilet. Prøv igjen.” | The answer from Vipps did not match the sign-in you started. Try again. |
| “Vipps-innloggingen er ikke gyldig lenger. Prøv igjen.” | You took more than 15 minutes, or you used this sign-in before. Start again. |
| “Write a valid phone number.” | The number is not written correctly. Enter 8 digits for a Norwegian number, or include the country code, for example +46. |
| “Telefonnummeret er ikke gyldig” | The server did not accept the phone number. Check the digits and the country code. |
| “Vi kan ikke sende SMS til dette landet ennå” | We send codes only to numbers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. |
| “Vi kunne ikke sende SMS til dette nummeret” | The text message service did not accept the number. Check that it is a mobile number. |
| “Vi kan ikke sende SMS akkurat nå. Prøv igjen senere.” | The text message service is busy. Try again later. |
| “Vi sender ikke flere SMS akkurat nå. Prøv igjen senere.” | We sent many text messages in the last hour. Try again later. |
| “Du har sendt mange SMS. Vent litt og prøv igjen.” | Many text messages were sent from your network. Wait a while. |
| “Vent litt før du ber om en ny kode” | You just asked for a code, or you asked for many codes in the last hour. Wait a little. |
| “Koden er feil” | The code is wrong. Check the code in the text message, and try again. |
| “Koden er ikke gyldig lenger. Be om en ny kode.” | The code is older than 10 minutes, or you asked for a newer one. Ask for a new code. |
| “For mange forsøk. Be om en ny kode.” | You entered a wrong code 5 times. Ask for a new code. |

## Groups and invites

| “Invitasjonen er ikke gyldig lenger” | The invite expired, was used or stopped, or the code does not exist. Ask for a new invite. |
| “This invite is no longer valid” | The invite expired, was used or stopped, or the link is wrong. skokk.no shows this message when you open the link. |
| “The code does not work. Check that it is right, or ask for a new invite.” | The invite with this code does not exist, has expired or was stopped. |
| “For mange forsøk. Vent litt og prøv igjen.” | Too many tries. Wait a moment and try again. Many invite codes were tried in a short time, in the app or on skokk.no. |
| “Invitasjonen er ikke sendt til telefonnummeret ditt” | The invite is for another number than the one you confirmed. Ask for a new invite, or for a normal invite link. |
| “Du ble fjernet fra gruppen. Be eieren om en ny invitasjon.” | The owner removed you after the invite was made. You need a new one. |
| “You are no longer in this group.” | You left or were removed. The group goes away from the app and the widgets. |
| “Du eier gruppen. Fjern de andre medlemmene før du forlater den.” | You own the group. The owner can only leave when nobody else is left in the group. |
| “Fant ikke gruppen” | Group not found. It was deleted, or you are not in it. |
| “Bare den som eier gruppen kan fjerne medlemmer” | Only the owner can remove someone. |
| “Personen er ikke medlem av gruppen” | The person is no longer in the group. |
| “Navnet kan ikke være tomt” | The name cannot be empty. Enter at least 1 character. |

## Photos, video and upload

| “This file type does not work. Choose a photo or a video.” | The app accepts JPEG, PNG and HEIC, and MP4, M4V and MOV. |
| “Vi støtter kun JPG, PNG, MP4 og MOV, ikke …” | We only support JPG, PNG, MP4 and MOV. The app turns HEIC and HEIF into JPEG before upload. |
| “Choose a video of 30 seconds or less.” | The video is longer than 30 seconds. |
| “En video kan være 30 sekunder eller kortere” | The server does not accept videos longer than 30 seconds. |
| “This video is too large. Choose a video under 200 MB.” | The video file is larger than 200 MB. |
| “Filen er for stor” | The file is too large: a photo over 25 MB, or a video over 200 MB. |
| “We could not get the video ready. Try again, or choose another video.” | The phone could not remove the details about the location and the phone from the video. The app uploads the video only after they are removed. |
| “Video krever at gruppen er låst opp” | Video can only be shared in an unlocked group. |
| “Du har lastet opp mye den siste timen. Vent litt.” | You uploaded a very large number of files in the last hour. |
| “Du har lastet opp for mye i dag. Prøv igjen i morgen.” | You uploaded a very large amount in the last day. Try again tomorrow. |
| “Profilbildet må være et JPG-bilde” | The server only takes a JPEG as a profile photo. The app turns the photo into a JPEG before upload. |
| “Bildet er for stort” | The profile photo is larger than 1 MB. |
| “Bildet hører ikke til deg” | The app tried to use a profile photo that someone else uploaded. Choose the photo again. |
| “Fant ikke filen. Last den opp på nytt.” | The upload did not arrive. Share the photo again. |
| “Fant ikke opplastingen. Last opp på nytt.” | The upload is too old or not yours. Share the photo again. |
| “Listen er utdatert. Last inn på nytt.” | The list is out of date. The app could not get more photos. Pull down to get the photos again. |
| “Fant ikke innlegget” | Post not found. The photo was deleted or expired. |
| “Bare den som la ut innlegget eller eieren av gruppen kan slette det” | Only the person who posted the photo, or the owner of the group, can delete it. In the app you delete the photos you posted yourself. |
| “Likes og kommentarer krever at gruppen er låst opp” | “Like” and comments only work in an unlocked group. |
| “Could not save the photo. Try again.” | The photo was not put in Photos. |
| “Could not save the video. Try again.” | The video was not put in Photos. |
| “skokk has no access to save photos. You can allow it in Settings.” | Allow skokk to add photos in the settings of the phone. |

## Payment

| “The unlock can take a few minutes.” | You paid, but the group is not unlocked yet. The message from the store usually comes within a few minutes. |
| “Gruppen er allerede låst opp” | The group is already unlocked. |
| “Noen andre i gruppen låser den opp nå” | Another member is paying now. Ask whether the purchase went through, or wait 1 hour. |
| “Du kan låse opp opptil 5 grupper” | You already pay for 5 groups, or started purchases that add up to 5 groups. |

## Widgets

| “Åpne skokk for å vise widgeten igjen” | The widget lost its access, for example after you signed out. Open the app. |
| “Widgeten oppdaterer for ofte” | The widget asked for photos too often, and it waits a little before it asks again. |

## Connection and other errors

| “No connection. Try again.” | The phone is offline, or the server does not answer. |
| “Something went wrong. Try again.” | An error we have no message of its own for. |
| “Det fikk vi ikke til. Beklager! Vi er på saken med å fikse.” | The app sent something the server did not accept. The message has an ID for troubleshooting that you can send to us. |

## Messages that point to an error in the app

These messages should not show when the app works. If you see one, update the app and try again.

| “Du kan ikke fjerne deg selv” | The owner tried to remove themselves. |
| “Bare den som eier gruppen kan se invitasjonene” | Only the owner can see the list of invites. |
| “Bare den som eier gruppen eller laget invitasjonen kan stoppe den” | Only the owner or the person who made the invite can stop it. |
| “Filen hører ikke til denne gruppen” | The file was uploaded to another group. |
| “Filtypen passer ikke til innlegget” | A photo was sent as a video, or the other way round. |
| “Filen er allerede brukt i et innlegg” | The same file was shared 2 times. |
| “Et miniatyrbilde må være et bilde” | The small copy was not a photo. |
| “En video trenger et miniatyrbilde og en lengde” | The video lacks a still or a length. |
| “Et bilde har ingen lengde” | A photo was sent with a length, like a video. |
